Camelio is a plaid from the French brand Brun de Vian-Tiran, made from 100 % baby camel.
The hair from the camel Brun de Vian-Tiran uses is the Camelus Bactrianus (two-humped camel), used by the Tatars, the Mongols, the Chinese and was described in the travel journals of Marco Polo. Brun de Vian-Tiran selects the finest downy hair and separates the ‘kemp’, or coarse hair, as a result of which the camelhair blankets have been feeling ‘foamy’ for approximately half a century.
