Aliseo is a summer blanket made from 100% cashmere wool with a weight of 280 grams/m2 by the French Brun de Vian-Tiran.
Already at the beginning of the 19th century the "Société Royale et Centrale d'Agriculture" acknowledged the identity of this breed, also referred to as ‘down goat’ or ‘Tibetan goat’. Throughout Asia, from the Wolga to beyond Gartrop, at the Kirgiz and with the Calmoecks and finally in all countries where the lama religion reigned, this goat lives. The name of the Kashmir province in India. The cashmere goats are predominantly bred in Iran and in Central Asia: China (Xingjian, Tibet), Mongolia. They live at high altitude between 4,000 to 6,000 metres. Under their coarse fleece a protective layer of extremely fine downy hair grows. Brun de Vian-Tiran selects that for the production of its blankets, plaids and duvets due to its lightness and its extreme softness.
